The things they Carried&The Man at the well-comparison

Fiction should be a story or novel. It should be made up so much you can't tell whether it is fiction or non-fiction.Usually I don't like fiction much because it has no truth in it. But stories that are twisted up almost to become non-fiction gives a real effect of emotions and that's what I think draws a reader in. Non-fiction has to be like a real story of someone that has been through a lot that anyone can look at the main character or a character in the book/novel and see themselves in it somehow. Non-fiction has a deeper effect on a person because they find out it's true and we as people can relate more to it if we know someone has been through that.

These stories can relate to my immersion project or life because of how war can affect people's lives. Non-fiction or fiction stories can either tell a made up story or a real one. This story is fiction but it has a REAL view on life in war and the victims in war. This can relate to the project because it has to do with us questioning things and why they happen; in this book it "explores the human heart and reflects on the terrible weight of those things people carry through their lives." says O'Brien. This relates to everyday life because any person can feel the weight of life pushing them down every moment or they may be put down because of what they have done to someone else.
